The boy was accosted by a 15-year-old male on May 30 between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on West Jefferson Avenue, Myerstown, according to the state police.
The older teen approached the boy and pressed a pocket knife against his stomach while demanding cash, PSP explained.
The would-be robber "verbally threatened to stab the victim," PSP stated in the release.
Somehow the boy managed to break free and run away. The unidentified teen was later arrested for "robbery, terroristic threats, and simple assault by physical menace," according to the release.
